Hey, It's been a while....
I'm bringing my blog to life again but sadly it's with news of a tragedy.
Typhoon Ondoy or Ketsana hammered my dear country last saturday. I woke up early on Saturday morning to go to a site I was working on. When I looked out the window, I couldn't see a thing... It was zero visibility, not because of smoke or fog but because of rain. At first I just thought it would pass but hours later the rain still raged on.
Later, I was surprised to hear that the Pasig River started to overflow. This rarely happens -- the last time it hapenned was when I was still in grade school -- and it barely reached 12 inches. Watching TV pretty much told me that the same thing was happening everywhere, and in most areas, worse.
As the day trudged on so did the rain. It was said that a month's worth of rain fell within 5 hours... People were not ready. People were helpless. People are in need of help. Please open up your hearts, help as much as you can.
